Three Taverns double as Forge Workshops. On these weeks the standard Story Forge block is replaced by the workshop; Retro, Skill Layer, and Celebration still run. Tell students the week before what to bring.

Workshop facilitation notes

FW1A momentum check. The goal is self-recognition, not product. Each student names one pattern in how they argue and one they want to change. No writing to hand in.

FW2The thesis hinge of the year. The Weaver's question, “In Unit 1 you argued X; by Unit 4 you argued the opposite. That's your thesis, and it was already there”, is the heart of the Anvil (the year-end presentation, see Finale). This is also where Mentor A re-checks the load in the 2-mentor config (Section 2).

FW3The last structured help before the Anvil. Run it as a peer jury: a partner reads each draft and asks “What's your thesis, and where's the evidence?”, not as an editor.
